What is the AAD Clinical Community?

In 2022, the Academy launched the AAD Clinical Community — a secure online forum by dermatologists for dermatologists to discuss a range of clinical issues, based on members’ areas of interest. The forum is secure, organized, and moderated. It is also free to members of the Academy as a member benefit.

Q. How can I use the AAD Clinical Community?

A. AAD members can utilize this private, online forum to:

  • Discuss challenging clinical issues with other AAD members

  • Share information and respond to each other’s cases

  • Discover insights on new medicines, services, and other products being used by your peers

  • Continue conversations from meetings and publications

Powered by DocMatter, the community is dedicated to bringing together dermatologists who share a commitment to excellence in both patient care and safeguarding sensitive information with the highest degree of security and compliance. A. Last year, the Community surpassed 10 million views on discussions. 80% of all discussions in the AAD Clinical Community have received a response from a dermatology expert, showcasing how the Community has become the go-to online place for dialogue with dermatology experts.

  • Average responses per discussion: 11

  • 7 out of 10 AAD members engage* with the AAD Clinical Community at least once every 90 days
