How it works

Hands-On at Home: Dermatology Suture Techniques

We’re bringing our popular in person Hands-On course, straight to your home. Take your time, learn at your own pace, and have fun. This course will guide you through a variety of suture techniques, appropriate positioning, when to use different stitch techniques, causes of tissue cones, and techniques to remove them.

Our faculty uses a mix of medical illustration, photos, and video demonstration to discuss:

• Excision techniques

• Top suturing

• Tissue cones

• Deep dermal suturing

Now it’s your turn! You’ll receive an accompanying suture kit which includes a skin pad and instruments to use for practice. Then, use the checklists to self-assess your work and claim CME.
