OSHA
Do I have to comply with OSHA?
OSHA is a federal agency created to protect workers from hazards in the workplace. OSHA stands for the Occupational Safety and Health Act. OSHA inspectors conduct workplace assessments in search of employer violations, often imposing citations that result in heavy fines and penalties.
Nearly all dermatology practices must comply with OSHA requirements. Dermatology practices are encouraged to become familiar with OSHA requirements and implement a complete OSHA compliance program. An effective safety and health program can save time and money — about $4 for every $1 spent. It can also increase productivity.
