More men are investing in non-invasive cosmetic procedures, according to new data from the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). 2022 survey data indicate that over 1.4 million male patients sought out minimally invasive cosmetic procedures — a staggering 253% increase since 2019.
Top procedures included neuromodulator injections and dermal fillers, which jumped 65% and 70% in male patients respectively since 2019.
Across age groups, Generation X (ages 40-54) had the highest demand for cosmetic procedures, outpacing Baby Boomers, Millennials, and Generation Z. Gen X accounted for 46% of all minimally invasive procedures, and 57% of all neuromodulator injections and 50% of all hyaluronic acid fillers.
