If you are currently retired, or plan to retire later this year or the first half of next year, you may be eligible for Life Membership.
Life Membership is a category of AAD membership. Life Members are no longer required to pay dues but retain the benefits of their previous membership category.
What are the requirements?
The Life Membership category is open to all Academy members who meet the following criteria:
A member for at least 30 years, who is retired (no longer practices for remuneration), plans to retire later this year, or the first half of next year, OR
A permanently disabled member who is retired from practice.

When should I apply?
If you meet the requirements, we invite you to apply any time after July 1 or before the end of the year.
How do I apply?
The online application is located in your account page (account.aad.org). Additional questions about Life Membership can be directed to Tina Matillano, senior specialist of membership operations, at TiMatillano@aad.org.
