From the President

Taking care of dermatologists so that they can take care of their patients...and their practices
Dear members,
The AAD’s educational programming sets the gold standard for dermatologic education. I am proud of the Academy’s unwavering commitment to consistently provide members with the latest and most accurate information across a wide range of subjects at the Annual Meeting and Innovation Academy. These scientific meetings offer hundreds of sessions across both meetings.
This year’s Annual Meeting broke records with the highest overall attendance in the meeting’s history. I’m always impressed by the quality of the lectures and the opportunities to expand our knowledge. I encourage everyone to join us for the 2026 Annual Meeting in Denver. Registration opens Nov. 19!
If you can’t attend the meetings in person, you can still benefit from the AAD’s dedication to exceptional education. The AAD Learning Center offers dozens of courses that make meeting your CME requirements easy. The Learning Center is regularly updated with new courses, including this year’s releases like Introduction to Patch Testing, Essential Wound Care, and Navigating Clinical Trials. Best of all, these courses are free as part of your Academy membership!
I’m especially proud of another new member benefit this year: Dialogues in Dermatology, the AAD’s weekly podcast. Members now have free access to this amazing resource and can earn up to 26 hours of CME credit annually! Plus, with the AAD’s Learning Center app, you can enjoy these educational sessions anytime, anywhere. Just search for “AAD Learn” in the App Store or Google Play to download the app and start learning on the go. A key goal during my presidency is taking care of dermatologists so that they can take care of their patients. I believe one of the most important ways to do this is by encouraging members to take full advantage of the Academy’s educational offerings. By ensuring our members always have access to the latest information, we empower you to deliver outstanding patient care. I’m proud of the AAD’s educational programs and excited to see the innovative ways they will continue to evolve in the future.
Until next time, all my best,
Susan
