Resident Quality Improvement Award
The Academy offers financial support to residents engaged in quality improvement projects that help meet requirements for ACGME accreditation. Residents can receive up to $2,000 in financial support for quality improvement projects. Faculty mentors may also have the opportunity to claim American Board of Dermatology (ABD) Continuing Certification (CC) credit for active or completed projects.

Innovations in Quality Improvement Award
The AAD is offering an award to recognize dermatologists who are leaders in innovative quality improvement (QI) efforts in dermatology. The purpose of the award is to encourage the adoption of meaningful QI practices in dermatology in order to improve patient care. The recipient will receive a $2300 award which includes funds for travel, registration, hotel stay, and project expenses. They will also be presented with a commemorative plaque and will be required to provide a presentation on their QI project at the QI Symposium at AAD’s Annual Meeting. The recipient may also have the opportunity to claim American Board of Dermatology (ABD) Continuing Certification (CC) credit for active or completed projects.
