Disaster relief loan application
If you are a licensed dermatologist or dermatology resident who was impacted by the wildfires in and around Los Angeles, the Academy is offering assistance in the form of low interest loans to help in recovery.
Eligible dermatologists can apply for up to $25,000 and graduate members (residents and fellows) may apply for up to $5,000 each.
To be eligible you must meet the following criteria:
live in the area affected by the Los Angeles fires as defined by FEMA;
have sustained financial losses because of the physical damage to your property that are not covered by insurance, other forms of financial assistance, or other financial resources available to the applicant; and
be a member in good standing of the AAD.
Personal and business income losses and lost wages due to the disaster are not qualifying criteria for loans.
Confidentiality: All of the information provided on this form will remain confidential.
Disbursement of funds: In order to provide a reasonably equitable distribution of available funds, assistance will be provided to eligible members on a first-come, first-served basis.
