I was scammed into registering for a fake meeting. How can I verify an Academy meeting is legitimate?

Most meeting fraud can be avoided by verifying the authenticity of a registration site before providing any personal or financial information.
Registration for official AAD/A meetings should only be done through the Academy’s website and the AAD’s legitimate registration and housing partner, Experient, Inc. Companies unaffiliated with the AAD or Experient, Inc. may contact you directly to offer registration and/or housing for Academy meetings through websites designed to deceive visitors by posing as an AAD website. Members can securely register for AAD/A meetings by taking the following steps:
Select your meeting.
Select “Registration & Housing”
You will be directed to an Experient, Inc. registration landing page with a URL that resembles the following:
