Where can I find resources on the Academy’s website on how to promote my practice?

The AAD offers members a wide variety of resources to help you promote your practice on social and traditional media.

The AAD Fellow logo: This prestigious designation is only available to board-certified dermatologists who are members of the AAD. Be sure to download and use the FAAD designation in all your patient- and public-facing communications.

There are also a variety of resources available in the Promote Your Practice Resource Promote your practice resource center. The resource center provides access to all the resources below.

Public relations and social media tips: Access helpful information about best practices for PR and social media and find interview tips and background materials.

Dermatology issues in the news: Stay up to date on hot topics with this quick reference tool, from sunscreen, to skin cancer awareness, and more.

Key messages: Review clear, consistent talking points on skin, hair, and nail topics most requested by the media.

Suggested topics: Not sure how to make a media pitch? Get a variety of topic ideas for pitches to traditional media and social media posts, broken down by month for timeliness.

Opportunities to join the AAD Media Expert or Social Media Ambassador Teams: Join the Media Expert Team to help raise visibility of the specialty or apply to join the Social Media Ambassador Team to amplify the Academy’s public education content and raise the visibility of the specialty on social media.
