The second annual AADA Virtual Legislative Conference again saw impressive participation numbers this past September, bringing key dermatologic issues before members of Congress. Attendees included physicians, residents, select medical students, dermatology nurses, and patient advocates.
Participating in over 200 virtual meetings, AADA members and patient advocates urged Congress to:
Ensure stability in Medicare and stop scheduled Medicare payment cuts of up to 10% or more from taking effect in 2022.
Preserve patients’ access to treatments and implement “step therapy” reforms that will preserve the physician’s right to make treatment decisions that are in the best interest of their patients.
