Survey: Americans worry about premature aging, still behind on sunscreen use
Facts at your Fingertips

Despite concerns about premature skin aging, many Americans are still in the dark about the importance of sunscreen, according to a recent AAD survey.
The AAD survey of 1,000 U.S. adults revealed that half worry about their skin aging prematurely. However, just over half of those surveyed regularly use sunscreen, and even less — 20% — apply it on cloudy days. Four in 10 participants reported that they believe their wrinkles or dark spots were caused by sun exposure. Of this group, 68% said they are bothered by these changes to their skin. Find more information from the survey below or visit the AAD news release on premature skin aging.
