• Feb. 10 - Following relentless advocacy by AADA, the FDA approved significant modifications to the iPLEDGE program.

• Feb. 3 - The Academy continues to monitor the current partial government shutdown and its impact on dermatologists. The funding bill that is in debate includes HHS with Department of Homeland Security funding.

• Jan. 27 - The AADA urges Congress to back clinician-led data registries and relieve administrative burdens as it contemplates a successor to MIPS.

• Jan. 20 - The AADA nominated and CMS selected AADA board member Alina Bridges, DO, FAAD, to serve as an expert on CMS’s Medicare CLDT Advisory Panel.
