Physician guide
This guide is for physician use before and during the teledermatology visit.
Did you confirm patient’s consent to receive medical care via teledermatology?
Have you confirmed that the patient is in the state where you are licensed during the teledermatology visit?
Are there any reasons why you are not able to conduct the virtual visit, such as video or sound problems, lack of interpreter, unable to assess the problem virtually, etc.?
If yes, consider scheduling an in-person visit.
If no, proceed with visit.
Did you review all the patient’s submitted photos and include or note them in the documentation?
Did you ask the patient if all concerns have been addressed and confirm their understanding of the treatment and follow-up plan?
