What MIPS deadlines are coming up and when do I have to submit?

Mark your calendars with the following MIPS reporting deadlines:
Oct. 2, 2019:
- Last day to begin an improvement activity (IA) or participate in promoting interoperability (PI) measures as these require 90 consecutive days of engagement
Dec. 1, 2019 (for EHR integrated DataDerm practices only):
- Deadline to add new providers to your DataDerm dashboard
Dec. 6, 2019:
- DataDerm enrollment deadline for new manual practices (no EHR integration)
- Deadline to purchase DataDerm 2019 MIPS Module for all reporting providers
Dec. 20, 2019 (for EHR integrated DataDerm practices only):
- Deadline to complete changes/addendums in EHR for DataDerm
Dec. 31, 2019:
- Final day of the performance period for 2019
- Last day of eligible encounters that can be included for quality measure reporting
- Last day of the 90-day engagement for improvement activities and promoting interoperability measures
January 2020*:
- 2019 MIPS submission opens for all DataDerm practices
*exact date will be communicated via email to participating practices when the submission module opens
March 2020*:
- Final deadline to submit performance data for MIPS 2019 performance year through DataDerm
*exact date will be communicated via email to all participating practices in January 2020
March 31, 2020:
- Last day to submit performance data for 2019 to CMS
