Where can I find information about MIPS reporting?
Asked and Answered
January 1, 2026
The Academy’s Practice Management Center has updates, tools, and resources for dermatologists to navigate the Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS). This includes a snapshot document that outlines reporting options for practices of varying sizes and needs, as well as an easy-to-follow, three-step reporting guide. There’s also a detailed breakdown of each MIPS category: quality, promoting interoperability (PI), improvement activities (IA), and cost.
Using DataDerm™
To streamline MIPS reporting and help avoid penalties, AAD offers DataDerm, the profession’s largest clinical data registry. Dermatologists can use its integrated platform to report for all categories in one place as well as monitor their progress, receive support from AAD staff, find specialty-specific quality measures, and access other benefits to ease the process. Learn more about DataDerm.
Payment information
The annual Medicare Physician Fee Schedule — including information about the final 2026 schedule — is also available on AAD’s website.
