Apply to be an AAD Social Media Correspondent
As part of the Academy’s ongoing Your Dermatologist Knows specialty positioning strategy, the Academy is seeking a new group of members to serve as Social Media Correspondents. In this role, you’d be the face of our mission to show the public that board-certified dermatologists are the skin, hair, and nail experts.
As one of the Academy’s Public Social Media Correspondents, you’d work with the Academy’s social media team to engage with the public through a warm, relatable voice that answers their questions, addresses their concerns, and showcases the kind of knowledge and experience a patient can only get from partnering with a board-certified dermatologist.
In this role, you’d regularly create short informational videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and Instagram Stories, and participate in in-person filming for the AAD YouTube channel. You’d also be involved in monthly planning and strategy meetings to help guide the Academy’s social media content.
You’d need to contribute approximately 9-11 hours monthly to the role over the course of two years, which will pay a stipend of $25,000 annually. You must agree to forego all conflicts, including but not limited to any social media brand partnerships, and abstain from running for any elected positions within the Academy for two election cycles after the completion of your contract.
The Academy is seeking four Correspondents, with two starting their contracts on March 1, 2026, and the other two beginning on Oct. 1, 2026.
